Assist the Quality control partner of PKF Cape Town with a list of duties – refer to the Key Duties and Responsibilities section.

  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Able to present technical material at a senior level
  • Deadline driven
  • An excellent communicator of technical material, decisions and policies
  • Comfortable to interact with senior staff and directors

Experience

  • 2 – 3 years post article experience

Key Duties and Responsibilities – Key Performance Indicators

  • Assisting Quality Control partner with:
    • ISQM implementation
    • Monitoring of professional standards manual compliance including network compliance reporting
    • IRBA reporting
    • IRBA & Network firm reviews
  • Delivering inputs on technical guidance papers and related initiatives
  • Participation in the firm’s ISQC 1 process for high-risk engagements
  • Update of standard working papers and related templates
  • Firm technical session preparation
  • Assisting Firm Training and Development Officer with:
    • Development of First year induction and training
    • Manager induction
    • Training material and presentation as requested
    • Core course training/acting as tutor on core courses
    • Assisting with “VAC week” programme when necessary
  • Technical assistance to audit teams

Level of Independence

Work independently but report to the Quality control partner.
