Professional Experience

Rob qualified as a chartered accountant in 1992, having served his training contract with PKF Durban (then David Strachan & Tayler). After a brief stint in the UK, he worked as the systems manager/management accountant for Sylko Paper Company, a division of a South African listed company in the Fast Moving Consumer Market (FMCG) industry for 2 years before returning to PKF Durban in 1992 as an audit manager. In 1999 he became an audit partner, where he is today.

He has significant amount of experience which has been gained from a variety of audit and management consulting assignments in many industries of varying sizes and complexity from owner managed businesses to large multi-nationals and listed companies.

Rob is currently the head of audit of PKF Durban and is the PKF Durban’s representative on PKF South Africa's Professional Standards Committee (SA PSC) on which is also serves as the chairperson.

He serves as the vice-chairperson of PKF International's Professional Standards Committee (IPSC) and represents the PKF African region on the IPSC.
