It’s been 100 years since David Strachan strode from the pavement of Smith Street into William Cotta Building at number 331, and put up his nameplate outside a single, small office reading, “Accountant & Auditor.”

Much has changed since the firm he started, the address is now 12 on Palm Boulevard, Umhlanga with two full floors that house 260 staff who sweep through the door every morning, and the nameplate now states “PKF Durban.”

However, one fundamental has not changed: the same ethic towards quality and service that David Strachan built into his business and those held high at PKF, Passion, Teamwork, Quality, Clarity and Integrity. These continue to drive the firm today, as does the determination to put the client’s interests first. Our promise is to turn potential into possible for each other and our clients.
